Hackney Homes give local residents frontline experience

Hackney Homes have provided the opportunity for seven local residents to get first hand work experience on the frontline in the neighbourhood housing offices.

Employed for a year with the possibility of extension, the newly recruited staff members will provide vital services to residents, responding to queries, reporting repairs and providing advice on housing matters.

Jonnelle Sandiford, a Hackney resident who has been employed as a Housing Trainee said “I am looking forward to working with Hackney Homes and I am thankful for this great opportunity to pursue my career in housing.”

Hackney Homes Divisional Head of Tenancy and Leasehold, Neehara Wijeyesekera said “We welcome the new staff members who bring their experience as local residents to Hackney Homes and we look forward to providing them with the opportunity to broaden their experience”.
