The historic spa town ofCheltenhamholds a wealth of beautiful properties built in the popular and elegant 1790-1850 era when many fine Regency terraces, crescents and villas were constructed.

Lawnswood Courtin Wellington Square, overlooking the established beautiful gardens, exhibits all the style icons and attractive features of that period but has one other enormously strategic marketing advantage. It was built this year! The weber.therm External Wall Insulation and render system has contributed significantly to the aesthetic quality and technical merit of this outstanding building.

The One Property Group ofBraintreein Essex, has built a national reputation for exclusive property development having conceived and constructed high quality properties across theUK. The Company has new build and redevelopment experience and success, of whichLawnswood Courtis a new build project delivering eight luxury apartments with four, two-bedroom mews houses also constructed on the site.

Designed in house by One Property Group, this perfectly proportioned building is a modern timber frame construction with construction ply panel facing. Using the weber.therm XP External Wall Insulation system, 100mm EPS insulation is mechanically fixed to the substrate to achieve high thermal efficiency values. The final finish is achieved with the skilful application of a 15mm single coat of weber.therm M1 through-colour render. This polymer-modified, lightweight mineral render is delivered factory batched for on-site mixing. Meshcloth reinforcement is laid into the initial 6mm of the render and when this begins to take up, a further 9mm of render is applied. The render is ruled level and allowed to set. When weber.therm M1 is “green” – set but not fully hardened - it is scraped back to provide the attractive finish featured atLawnswood Court. Additional application of cornice features, ashlar walling detail and attractive window opening edging has added further style to the building and indicates the skill of the One Property team.

Richard Eltham, construction manager for the One Property Group, is rightly pleased with the finish. “Our own render team has done an excellent job here and the visual finish is perfect for the Cheltenhamarea.  Technically the weber.therm XP External Wall Insulation system is straight forward in application and we know it has achieved the high thermal efficiencies we require for these modern properties.”
