CGA Annual General Meeting - Amazing Evening Full of Stars

Community Gateway Association (CGA) held its 5th Annual General Meeting at Preston North End on 8 Sept with its best ever attendance.

Over 200 people attended with 180 being CGA members. As a membership led organisation they had the opportunity to vote and decide on the priorities for the next 5 years.

With an overview of the our Annual Report sent to all members before the event the audience also viewed a special "Promises" video made by the Gateway Tenants' Committee.

These new promises developed following the original ones set by tenants when the organisation transferred from Preston City Council in November 2005 these were all met by the end of 2010.

The highlight of the evening was the annual Community Stars Awards that recognise the contribution of individuals and groups from across Preston.

Nominated by people living in the communities they support. For the first time the awards were sponsored by CGA's partners including the main sponsor Design Force.
