A Five-a-Cider charity event for housing associations in the South West raised over £200 for good causes.
South Gloucestershire based Merlin Housing Society organised the event which saw £200 donated towards the organisations corporate charity Habitat for Humanity, and staff charity choice, Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital.
Eleven teams took part in total, including Wells based Aster Housing Group and Yarlington Housing Association from Yeovil.
Contractors who work with the housing associations also submitted teams and sponsored various aspects of the night so that all the money raised went to the charities.
A Merlin Housing Society spokesperson said: “We couldn’t have run the event without the kind support from some of our suppliers. As well as fielding teams, MITIE donated the winners’ trophies and sponsored the food with Portrayal, and Halsalls Construction - who recently built our first ever development of new homes on Kingswood High Street - sponsored the cider prize.”
A selection of photos from the event are available from the Merlin Housing Society’s Facebook page.
