The sun was out and so were the kids at Hollywood Park fun day and BBQ last week.

The fun day, organised by Stockport Homes, saw over 200 adults and children taking part in badge making, sports events, face painting and those with nerves of steel also tackled a bucking bronco and 7.5 metres high climbing wall.

The fun day was funded by Stockport Homes’ Community Fund, which supports projects that make a difference to the lives of customers and the wider community in neighbourhoods where Stockport Homes manage properties. To apply for funding please complete a form on our website under ‘Our services / Getting involved / Community fund’ or pick up a form from your Area Housing Office.

The event was also attended by parks and recreation, Stockport Council’s Environmental Services, Greater Manchester Police who took a portable police stations, Greater Manchester Fire Service who arrived in a fire engine, Sure Start and Sports Trust.

Kimberley Harrison, Team Leader - Estate Management for Stockport Homes commented: “Fun days are a great way for us and other services in Stockport to engage with customers on our estates who we may not normally get to see. Children and adults appeared to have a great time and really got stuck in!”
