Friendship Care and Housing’s (Friendship) West Midlands Neighbourhood team has joined the Safer Estates Group. The Safer Birmingham Partnership promotes effectively tackling anti-social behaviour (ASB) throughoutBirmingham.

The Safer Estates process has brought together different agencies, so the causes and effects of ASB can be dealt with effectively, including the City Council, West Midlands Police and other Registered Social Landlords.

All Friendship’s neighbourhood officers (West Midlands) attend the Safer Estate meetings that cover their specific areas. By attending these meetings Friendship are committed to making a difference and using the different partners as a resource helps makes neighbourhoods and communities a safer place to live.

Friendship has also integrated SEGWEB into their working day. SEGWEB is a database that has been set up to record the information on cases discussed at various Safer Estate Groups. The database allows the team to raise new ASB cases and update on actions taken in between their monthly meetings. This is a much more efficient way than the previous paper based records.
