Breakthrough Technology - ‘Daikin Altherma Flex’

Space Air Solutions is pleased to announce that the breakthrough technology  - ‘Daikin Altherma Flex’ - multi type air-to-water heat pump system has won two prestigious innovation awards. At the Environment and Energy Awards, held in May as part of the Sustainability Live event, the Altherma Flex won the ‘Innovation Award for Environmental Technology’ and at the National Heat Pump Awards, held in June, this Daikin model was also winner under the category ‘Product Innovation’. The system was chosen due to the great potential that the Daikin Altherma Flex system offers for reducing carbon emissions and energy bills, particularly in apartment buildings.

Using a renewable heat source, ambient air, the Daikin Altherma Flex is highly efficient compared to conventional fossil fuel boilers, capable of heating water up to 80°C, and has remarkable COPs up to 3.5. The Flex also offers cooling utilising heat recovery technology (the rejected heat in cooling mode is directed for heating DHW). The Flex is the first heat pump system to allow independent control and billing of heating and hot water systems within each individual dwelling. One outdoor unit can supply up to 10 dwellings.
