Wolverhampton Homes teams up with Money Advice Service
Wolverhampton Homes has teamed up with the Money Advice Service to offer people in Wolverhampton help with money matters.
The Money Advice Service will be holding free advice sessions at Wolverhampton Homes’ One Stop Shop on Market Street in the city centre. They will take place every Tuesday between 9.30am and 5pm.
At the sessions, you can get clear, unbiased advice on everything from savings and loans to budgeting for your family and planning your retirement. The service is open to anyone over the age of 16 and you don’t have to be a Wolverhampton Homes tenant.
Councillor Peter Bilson, Cabinet Member for Economic Regeneration and Prosperity, said: “This is a fantastic new service and one which should prove very useful to people in the city.
“It is never too early, or late, to start planning your finances and little advice from money experts could go a long way in the current climate.”
Mark Henderson, Director of Housing at Wolverhampton Homes, said: “Budgeting can be difficult at the moment, with purse strings being pulled in every direction.
“The Money Advice Service will be able to reassure people and offer advice which will help them to make the most of their money now but also when preparing for the future, for example when starting a family or in retirement.”
To make the most of the service you must book an appointment with the Money Advice Service team. To book a slot contact 0333 321 3434 or visit any of Wolverhampton Homes’ One Stop Shops and an appointment can be made on your behalf.
The Money Advice Service website also has useful information and easy-to-use interactive money planners to help you get to grips with your finances. Visit the website at www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk.
