Elderly residents will be celebrating Lilleshall Crescent's 50th anniversary
The residents of Lilleshall Crescent in All Saints will be celebrating next week as their street marks its 50th anniversary.
They will be joined by the Mayor, Councillor Bert Turner at the street party which takes place on Monday (18 July) between 12 – 3pm. There will be food, music and traditional stalls as well as advice stands from a variety of organisations such as Wolverhampton Homes, NHS Health Trainers and Wolverhampton City Council Neighbourhood Support Service.
Lilleshall Crescent was built in 1961 and many residents have lived there most of that time, including two elderly residents who have lived in Lilleshall Crescent since the beginning.
Mark Henderson, Director of Housing at Wolverhampton Homes who manage the homes in Lilleshall Crescent, said: “It is great to see the community come together to mark this special occasion. Wolverhampton Homes is delighted to be involved in the celebrations and hope everyone has a great time.”
