Larkfleet Group To Provide Disabled Access Affordable Housing In Clifton

Bourne-based housebuilder and developer Larkfleet Group (www.larkfleetgroup.co.uk), has started work on an affordable development in Clifton, Nottinghamshire, that will include properties designed especially for wheelchair users.

The development will comprise four self-contained apartments for adults with learning disabilities and two apartments especially designed for residents with mobility problems.  

Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) has designed the scheme in partnership with Larkfleet Group which will construct the apartments to help meet the need for quality housing.

The properties meet the Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 – some 25 per cent above the standard building regulations specification for energy performance – which highlights Larkfleet Group’s commitment to creating affordable, well-built and energy-efficient homes.

The timber frame construction being used is an efficient method of building which allows for quicker construction times. Timber frames for the homes will be supplied and erected by Kestrel Timber Frame (www.kestreltimberframe.co.uk), based in nearby Market Deeping, Lincolnshire.
