Paradigm Housing held its fourth successful Have Your Say Roadshow on 23 June.

Residents from 40 households came to Beck Theatre, Hayes on 23rd June 2011 (around 60 people plus children) and completed a questionnaire to help target service improvements.

This is equivalent to 5% of Paradigm’s tenants in the Hillingdon area, and Regional Manager Sarita Basra had to call in more housing officers when a queue began to build up in the first half-hour.

Residents Lyn Ives and Medina Jeilani from the Hillingdon Residents' Group were also busy talking to guests about joining the group and the topics the group should concentrate on.

Paradigm held its previous Have Your Say Roadshows in Aylesbury, Hatfield and Welwyn Garden City as a response to the 2010 STATUS survey. This recorded that levels of satisfaction in some areas was not as high as in others. The Roadshows allowed staff to talk in more depth to residents, to examine concerns the survey highlighted in greater detail, and to hear directly from residents about how improvements could be made.

Residents were invited to come to get more information about services, to talk to staff working in their area and raise any issues about their homes, tenancies or estates.

Executive Director of Operations David Smith said: “This event showed again the value of targeted local events that are in areas where residents live in some numbers and are convenient to attend. When we provide the right opportunity customers are interested in attending and the feedback is very helpful.”
