New online services are on offer from a North East company which wants to encourage more people to explore the internet. The new services will help Wear Valley tenants keep track of their rent and report repairs 24 hours a day. Called open access, the service allows customers of Dale & Valley Homes to check their rent accounts and print a statement, report that their home needs a repair and keep track of previous repairs. Mark Welsh, ICT manager for the company, said: “This should make it much easier for people to get in touch with us or keep up to date with their accounts. “The company has joined the Race Online, an initiative to help the millions of people who have never been online learn the benefits of the internet. “We have already helped some community groups buy computers and arranged training for a number of customers. “Hopefully we will soon be able to offer more training so other customers can benefit from this great opportunity. “So many services are easier and cheaper to access online that we believe it would benefit all our customers to be able to access the internet.” To use the new services go to www.daleandvalleyhomes.co.uk and follow the do it online links on the homepage.
