On the afternoon of 25 May, the residents of Hamlyn Court, in Dunton Green, Kent, celebrated the sheltered housing scheme’s 20th anniversary. Moat, who manages the scheme, organised an afternoon of entertainment to mark two decades of accommodation and support for residents.
Cllr Peter Fleming, Leader of Sevenoaks District Council, hosted a free raffle, with prizes donated by several local businesses. Dunton Green Primary School choir put on a delightful performance for residents who also enjoyed live music from a local entertainer.
Hamlyn Court was decorated by several Moat staff as part of an organisation-wide commitment to become more involved in Moat communities and to increase knowledge of all areas of the organisation.
Linda Smith, Moat’s Support Coordinator at Hamlyn Court, says; “It is incredible to be celebrating a scheme that has been providing services to the elderly for 20 years. The residents and staff have all had a thoroughly entertaining afternoon and on their behalf I would like to thank Moat, Sevenoaks District Council and Dunton Green Primary School for their support.”
