On 25 May 2011 between 5pm and 7pm, Moat’s mobile office is coming to Plantation Hall, Heybridge. Moat has organised the event in order that local service providers in the area are on hand to offer support and advice on housing, community safety, getting back into work, CV writing, healthy living and services for young people.
Partners including Colne Housing, Maldon Community Safety Partnership, the local Healthy Living Team, Dengie Project Trust, Brosis, the local Police Community Support Officer, Maldon Council for Voluntary Services, Heybridge Youth Club, Moat East Residents Association and the Citizens Advice Bureau have come together to make use of Moat’s mobile office to provide an information evening for the residents of Heybridge.
The mobile office, known as ‘Moat on the move’, was launched in October 2010 and helps Moat deliver great customer service, without residents having to leave their neighbourhoods. The aim of the mobile office is to give every resident the chance to easily access services and obtain information. ‘Moat on the move’ is fully equipped with a reception area, two meeting rooms (one wheelchair accessible), a kitchen and a toilet facility.
Moat’s Community Development Officer, Nicola Syder, says; “This is a great example of partnership working for the benefit of the local community. It’s much simpler if people can come to just one place for advice and information about anything related to living in Heybridge. We’re delighted to be able to support with the provision of ‘Moat on the move’ as a venue and hope this is the start of many more useful events to support and advise our residents.”
