On Friday 6 May Moat held an open day at their show home in Frinsted Gardens, Stanhope. Hosted by Vikki Baines, Moat’s New Homes Officer responsible for this exciting new phase of the regeneration project, the open day also welcomed MP for Ashford and Minister for Immigration, Damian Green and kmfm DJ, Webbo.
There are 14 new homes available at Frinsted Gardens through the Government funded HomeBuy shared ownership scheme. Comprising 8 x two bedroom and 6 x one bedroom apartments, they all come with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout and a fridge-freezer and washer-dryer as standard.
Vikki met with a number of keen first time buyers on 6 May and is really excited about helping people to take their first step on the property ladder. She says; “I’m really enjoying the fact that I can play a supportive role in helping people to buy their first home. These apartments are beautiful. They’re spacious and light, beautifully finished with lots of storage space and so affordable. For a 25% share you only need to raise a mortgage deposit of £1,875.”
Damian Green MP was interviewed live on Webbo’s kmfm show about the successful regeneration project taking place at Stanhope and the high standard of new homes coming onto the market in the community.
Webbo previously lived at Stanhope and still has family in the area so he has witnessed the incredible change the regeneration project is making. He took a look around the Moat show home and said; “This is lovely! The communal area outside means the community feel at Stanhope, so vital to the neighbourhood’s life and soul, is maintained and the apartment itself just looks amazing.”
