Moat’s sales and marketing team have announced their year end results, demonstrating a remarkable year despite the difficult external economic conditions and challenges for first time buyers.
In 2010/11, Moat’s sales and marketing team helped 822 households to get a foot on the property ladder, across a range of HomeBuy options.
Moat is the Government appointed Local HomeBuy Agent in Essex, Kent and Sussex, providing a one-stop shop for people looking to buy an affordable home for the first time. Moat also works with private housebuilders to market and sell homes under the Government funded HomeBuy Direct and the soon to be launched FirstBuy schemes in these areas.
In their role as Local HomeBuy Agent the Moat team processed thousands of applications from people wishing to buy an affordable home in Essex, Kent and Sussex. Additionally, this same team at Moat delivers the Government's Mortgage Rescue scheme, enabling home owners facing repossession to remain in their own homes. This scheme has helped 138 families since April 2010.
Steve Nunn, Moat’s Executive Director: Development and New Business, says; “We are delighted that we have been able to help so many people across Essex, Kent and Sussex to find and keep their homes through our role as Local HomeBuy Agent. The entire team has worked incredibly hard and proved their commitment to providing a high quality, supportive and efficient service to first time buyers and home owners.”
