Green homes to let at Greenside Place

New energy efficient family homes in Crook are being offered for rent for the first time this week.
The two and three bedroom homes in Greenside Place, Watergate estate, are being built by Durham County Council and will be let by Dale & Valley Homes.
Although they are not due to be completed until July they are being offered for let this week through the Durham Key Options lettings system.
Ian Hornsby from Dale & Valley Homes said: “There are a dozen homes being advertised this week through the choice-based lettings system we operate with Durham Key Options.
“Anyone who is interested in these properties should express an interest this week. There is a local letting policy in operation so priority will be given to people with a link to Crook, but people from further afield will also be able to express an interest.
“It is important that people respond quickly or they could miss out on this brilliant opportunity to live in a new home with many energy efficient features, including photo-voltaic panels which will generate free electricity for each home.
“Construction is coming on well and we are really looking forward to handing the keys over to the first tenants.”
The homes will be advertised on the Durham Key Options website www.durhamkeyoptions.co.uk, from Thursday, May 5, to Tuesday, May 10 and in the weekly newspaper. Anyone who needs help registering with the site or understanding the system should speak to the housing options team at Dale & Valley Homes on 0800 0830 333.
