Residents of Calton House in Hertford enjoyed an afternoon of Easter themed fun and games last week (Thursday 21st April) at the older persons’ housing scheme.
The Easter tea party, organised by Riversmead Housing Association, a member of Network Housing Group and Hill Partnerships, enabled residents to join their friends and neighbours to take part in fun activities including a teddy bear hunt and raffle.
Residents also demonstrated their creative abilities in the Easter hat competition, where designs ranged from chicks and egg shells to spring flowers, with Joan Beagles and Dorothy Smith winning this year’s prizes.
Jackie Trundell, Riversmead’s Neighbourhood Services Manager, commented: “I always enjoy attending the annual Easter celebrations we hold at our older persons’ housing schemes, and this year’s event at Calton House was another great success.
It’s lovely to see our residents having so much fun; they really embraced the spirit of the day and were wonderfully creative with their hat designs. I’m already looking forward to next year!”
Fredrick Barnes, resident at Calton House, said of the event: “I really enjoyed the Easter tea party. It was lovely to socialise with my friends and neighbours.”
