Two Rivers opens Midland Road site
Rural housing provider Two Rivers Housing has been recognised for its continued commitment to provide affordable and sustainable homes in the Green Apple Awards.
Shortlisted in the Built Environment category, the ‘Midland Road’ development in Stonehouse showcases a range of innovative energy saving technologies including rainwater harvesting and Photovoltaic Solar Panels.
The awards are organised by The Green Organisation which is an independent, non-political, non-activist, non-profit environment group dedicated to recognising, rewarding and promoting environmental best practice around the world.
This nomination recognises the association’s focus on providing homes that incorporate innovative green technology and will help new tenants save money and energy as a result.
Vicki Wright, Head of Development and Homeownership said:
“Our development team are focused on providing quality homes that meet the changing energy needs of families in the local area. We’re proud to have been recognised in the Green Apple awards this year. Although sadly, we were not selected as a winner in the Built Environment category our work has been put forward into the Best Practice Awards also organised by The Green Organisation. We look forward to hearing the results of those in the coming months.”
