staff celebrate IIP Gold status
Staff at rural housing provider Two Rivers Housing, are celebrating after being awarded Investors In People (IIP) Gold Status following a recent assessment.
IIP is a national standard which aims to increase the productivity of the UK economy by helping organisations achieve success by engaging their people. To achieve the standard an organisation must demonstrate that it is committed to improving the learning and development opportunities for all employees.
Achieving IIP Gold standard was an aim of Two Rivers’ employment engagement programmes which are designed to improve the way that people are led, managed and developed throughout the organisation. Two Rivers takes great pride in its ‘People First’ culture which ensures that staff are fully supported from day one and given encouragement to embrace their personal and professional development. As a result staff are inspired and motivated by their managers and colleagues, to improve their own performance.
Garry King, Two Rivers’ Chief Executive said,
‘Our investment in staff demonstrates our commitment to the future of Two Rivers, our neighbourhoods and community wellbeing. With a staff satisfaction level of 92% reported for 2010, Two Rivers is determined to continue to support and nurture our staff, who are our greatest asset, and increase satisfaction to 94% by 2012.’
Amanda Gould, HR Manager for Two Rivers added,
‘We understand the importance of investing in our employees so that we are able to continuously improve our services to our residents. Our rationale for working with Investors In People is about improvement and creating excellence and we are delighted to be recognised as Gold status and will continue to build on our success for the future. The IIP assessment looked at 172 criteria and we scored highly in 165.’
