Children can have a cracking time at a series of Easter-themed events in Wiltshire next week, organised by Sarsen Housing Association’s Neighbourhood Involvement team.
Ludgershall: A treasure hunt kicks off the fun on Tuesday (April 19) between 1pm and 3pm. A trail of puzzling clues will be planted around Wood Park and Coronation Road. The winner will receive a chocolate Easter treat. Meet at the green area at the end of Coronation Road.
Devizes: Residents in Victoria Road are invited to plant some flowers, fruit and vegetables in borders around the estate on Wednesday (April 20) between 10am-4pm.
Experts from Wiltshire Wildlife Trust will be on hand to give advice. The event is part of Sarsen’s ongoing aim to spruce up the local area and attract wildlife. Everyone who turns up to help will receive a small Easter egg. Meet at the roundabout.
Swindon: Local people can get involved in an all day litter-pick on the Sarsen-run housing estate next to New College. All ages are welcome to attend. The litter pick will include Rutland Road, Billborough Drive and Welbeck Close. It starts at 1pm and runs until 3pm. Meet at the end of Rutland Road.
Antony Higgins, neighbourhood involvement manager, said: “Every year we invest thousands of pounds in our communities. We don’t just look after properties we look after the people in them. The well-being of our residents is important to us; it’s events like these that bring communities together and promote a real sense of being part of something that matters. We would urge everyone to come along this Easter even if they just have ten minutes to spare.”
