NEW PROGRESS HOUSING ASSOCIATION launches its annual regional garden competition for green-fingered tenants this week. More than £1,000 in prizes is up for grabs in a competition that grows with popularity each year.
Anyone living in a New Progress property throughout the North West can enter the competition and there are categories to suit all types of gardens. Plus this year we are accepting nominations of neighbourhood gardens from friends and families.
Categories include containers, window boxes and hanging baskets; balconies, yards and gardens; communal areas; and vegetable or fruit patches.
There will also be a kids sunflower competition, with the tallest sunflower being awarded a prize. The closing date for entry is Friday 3rd June with judging taking place in July. For more information, contact New Progress on 01772 450842.
