Moat has been successful in three categories for the First Time Buyer Readers’ Awards 2011.
Moat, alongside its joint development partner affordable housing provider Affinity Sutton, won Best Small Development category for Latitude Walk in Ashford, Kent. Moat was also Highly Commended for the Most Imaginative Marketing Campaign for Bridge House in Croydon and was Highly Commended for Best Website.
Latitude Walk, distinguishable by its circular, turret-like tower, was developed in partnership with Affinity Sutton. The Central Ashford based development boasts affordable homes and direct rail links not only to London, but to Europe via Ashford International rail station. The perfect spot for a small community, Moat is delighted that the people who read First Time Buyer recognise how special these new homes are, and voted for Latitude Walk to win.
Bridge House is a stylish new development in Croydon which offers city living at a fraction of the cost. Located in the heart of the historic Surrey Street fruit market, Bridge House has proved a firm favourite among urban professionals and self-confessed city lovers. Moat’s marketing campaign for Bridge House played on the buzz and the vibrant colours of the historic fruit market, as well as the city vibe that Croydon offers. The campaign really caught the attention of city workers who love to immerse themselves in that urban ambience, offering them their ‘very own Camden, in Croydon’.
Moat’s new website, moat.co.uk, was launched last November. The fresh, clean styling along with the simplistic signposting has made the site an instant hit with Moat residents and newcomers alike. Over 2,500 brochures were downloaded in the first two months of the new-look site being launched; in addition, 226 viewings were arranged using the online booking system.
The website also has an area dedicated to residents who want to manage their Moat business online. ‘My Moat’ allows users to pay their rent online, keep up-to-date with the latest news from Moat in their area, sign up to e-newsletters and even report repairs and defects.
Marilyn DiCara, Moat’s Director of Sales and Marketing, says; “Winning Best Small Development for Latitude Walk is a huge achievement! The development is so stylish and has proved really successful with local first time buyers. Being Highly Commended for both Bridge House’s marketing campaign and for our website are also both great accomplishments for Moat. Not only do the successes prove the quality of what we offer our residents, they are especially important at Moat because they were voted for by the readers of First Time Buyer, who are representative of the people we aim to reach with our services.”
