Weber Low Dust Technology Weber Low Dust Technology

Weber is predicting another year of unparalleled growth in demand for innovative products in their comprehensive tile fix range.  The Company, acknowledged leader of building materials and systems for the façade and construction markets, continues to introduce more products and solutions for the tile fixing industry with an extensive inventory of adhesives, grouts and industrial and commercial flooring screed products.

With efficiency and comfort in mind, Weber has been praised for introducing new Low Dust Technology to many of the existing products.  This new technology has been incorporated into weber.set rapid SPF, a truly multifunctional and flexible product that can be used in most situations including floor tiling with large tiles to wall tiling.  Low Dust Technology reduces the airborne dust created when opening, pouring and mixing the product but it does not change the premium characteristics of the original product.

“It’s obviously more comfortable to use and it keeps the work area cleaner and tidier which is especially advantageous in domestic locations or in small confined working areas,” James Mead, Product Manager continues.  “And tile fixing outlets are experiencing an ever increasing demand for our Low Dust Technology products.”

Weber is proud of its manufacturing units in Telford and Flitwick, Bedfordshire which have the capacity to provide the British market, overcoming the need to import, and ensuring that materials are produced as close to the end-user as possible.  “We prefer to manufacture locally, to the highest quality, helping British tradesmen carry out their work knowing they are contributing to reducing our environmental impact.”

For all fans of weber.set plus white tile adhesive, the highly slip resistant cement-based adhesive suitable for most types of tiles, is now available in grey in response to customer demand.  Amongst its many attributes, weber.set plus can be used on low porosity substrates including power floated concrete and even existing ceramic or vinyl tiles, and comes in clean and convenient 20kg plastic lined paper sacks.

“Tilers enjoy the huge time saving benefits of weber.set plus which is easy to prepare and apply and its non-slip properties are equally effective on large or thick ceramic, porcelain or natural stone tiles,” continues James Mead.

More new and revamped tile fix products from Weber UK are scheduled for 2011.
