Mumford & Wood entrance door
Mumford & Wood, the specialist premium manufacturer of high performance timber windows, French doorsets and entrance doors can claim the exceptionally low U-value of 1.4W/m2k for single or double, fully glazed doors in the iconic Conservation™ range of period-style products.
This measurement is well within the new Part L Building Regulations, October 2010, specification which requires a minimum U-value of 1.8W/m2k for glazed and panelled timber doors.
“This again puts us ahead of current legislation,” says Owen Dare, Technical Manager, Mumford & Wood, “and prepares us for the changes that will inevitably affect all manufacturers in the next round of Part L target reductions due in 2013.”
Casement and sliding sashes in the Conservation™ range are fully compliant with the new legislation already. Mumford & Wood’s standard casement has a BSI energy rating of B, with an overall frame U-value of 1.4W/m2k, while the ECO alternative specification casements and sashes already satisfy the 2016 energy and carbon reduction improvement targets.
Bespoke windows and doors designed and manufactured by Mumford & Wood are factory finished and made from sustainably sourced, premium quality, clear grade timber which achieves natural durability, strength and stability. Products are made in the Company’s modern manufacturing facility in Tiptree, Essex and supplied internationally for prestigious new build and refurbishment projects.
Conservation™ windows and doors are highly regarded by architects and conservation specialists and are the favourites of premium housebuilders and self-builders.
