Invicta Telecare is set to embark on its biggest ever project in partnership with Novalarm – the UK based arm of Dutch company, Verkilzan - to upgrade its Telecare monitoring system.
By 2025, the number of people over the age of 85 is predicted to have increased by 70% to 1.9 million, and over the next 50 years the number of over 65’s looks set to rise from 9.3 million to 16.8 million. With this staggering increase in the ageing population the demand for better alarm technology has never been greater. Reliable, flexible and state of the art equipment is not just desirable, but crucial.
Invicta Telecare has invested heavily to guarantee its future and reputation as the UK’s leading independent provider of Telecare services. UMO is an open platform system manufactured in the Netherlands and supplied by their UK subsidiary Novalarm and will provide a superior monitoring system.
One obvious advantage of UMO is that it is compatible with an enormous range of equipment and allows connection from many different suppliers. This will open up the market and widen the choice available to Invicta’s customers providing the opportunity to build a more comprehensive custom made service package.
Wendy Turner, Head of Invicta Telecare said: “Over the past year or so we have sought the opinions of our customers to establish exactly what they want from us, and how we can improve our services. They made it clear that high on the list of priorities is comprehensive reporting options, access to their own data and personalised services. UMO’s performance in all these areas is outstanding.”
Wendy continued: “The new equipment also offers the option of extending our services and we are currently exploring partnership approaches to the provision of Telehealth services, linking expertise within the health sector with our own experience.
“We are really excited by UMO and the considerable benefits it will bring. We passionately believe that Telecare is the future and in these times of austerity offers a cost effective and valuable alternative to traditional methods of care.”
Part of Circle Anglia – one of the UK’s leading providers of social housing – Invicta Telecare offers a comprehensive range of Telecare services to help over 97,000 vulnerable people, both young and old, to remain living in their own home.
