The potential problem of solving issues for clients with special toileting equipment is being addressed with a unique solution from Total Hygiene.

Approximately 10.5m people in the UK are registered disabled; 20% of the population suffers from arthritis, and it is acknowledged the country has an increasingly ageing population- all who may need help with toileting. Total Hygiene’s bespoke, in-house servicing package eliminates the potential health, hygiene and care issues which would arrive should there be a problem…..

“You would logically take out a service contract with equipment such as a stairlift,, so it is logical to ensure other specialist equipment such as the Clos-o-Mat ‘wash and dry’ toilet, which a client uses on average eight times a day, is also properly maintained and serviced,” says Ian Tomlinson, Total Hygiene commercial manager. “If a client needs a Clos-o-Mat to toilet with minimal or no help and ensure they are properly clean after toileting, it is essential for you and them that it works properly, ALL the time.

“A service and maintenance contract equates to less than 50p/day- a small price for the peace of mind that the toilet is properly maintained, and in the rare eventuality of there being a problem, it being acted upon within 48 hours, by specially-trained, dedicated engineers. It would have significantly more impact in financial and hygiene terms, and take longer, if service providers were trying to resolve an issue themselves.”

Total Hygiene is the only manufacturer of specialist ‘wash and dry’ toilets to offer a full service & maintenance package, using its own team of engineers, full details of which are explained on the company’s website www.clos-o-mat.com or by telephoning 0161 969 1199. The company’s Clos-o-Mat ‘wash and dry’ toilet combines a douche and drier with a WC, enabling disabled people to toilet with little or no assistance, as it removes the need for manual cleansing by themselves or a carer. The Clos-o-Mat itself is unique, being the only unit of its type developed specifically for disabled people, and with WRAS approval for legal connection to the mains water supply.
