Tucking into a tasty Christmas dinner is something we all look forward to, but for residents of G3 supported housing, their dream was dwindling due to a lack of funds in the kitty.
Upon hearing the news that residents at G3 were trying to raise some money for a Christmas dinner, staff at Two Rivers Housing offered to hold a fundraising raffle to help with the cost.
Garry King, Chief Executive of Two Rivers Housing said:
“We have worked with the residents and staff from G3 several times this year; they volunteered to help paint on of our residents’ communal rooms too. So when we heard their plans to raise money for a Christmas celebration, it was the least we could do, to try and support them in return.
We had some very generous donations of prizes from staff and Board members. We’re really pleased to confirm the total raised is £200. Hopefully this will help G3 celebrate in style.”
Carolyn Hinton, G3 added:
The residents were absolutely delighted to receive this wonderful donation so that they can have a Christmas celebration. They would like to send their Thanks to everybody who donated towards this.
We have built up a good working relationship with Two Rivers and hope that we can continue to build on this in the future.”
