Procurement for All adds even more value to its membership

Procurement for All Ltd (PfA) is stepping up its offer to its consortium members by adding even more value to its collaborative procurement services. Since forming in 2005, PfA has gone from strength to strength, procuring 14 capital investment and asset management framework agreements on behalf of the membership, with another framework going live in March 2011, delivering collaborative cash efficiencies.
With a new Board structure formed in September 2010, consisting of chief executives and directors of five shareholding members, coupled with the appointment of a Managing Director, the newly formed senior team is well underway to providing more value to the memership.
Managing Director of PfA, Keith Armstrong, explains “PfA has been self sufficient for the last five years, with a significant level of financial commitment through the frameworks from members. The commitment has delivered significant cashable savings back to members, in the form of procuring services collaboratively and more efficiently. But it is now time for PfA to offer more. Our vision is simple: “to become the procurement route of choice” and that is what we are aiming for.

To date, PfA’s Turning the Corner campaign has delivered many new services, including a central member information system, a new interactive website. More recently a new framework agreement has been launched, consisting of capital investment supply and fit contracts, covering bathroom, central heating, kitchen and windows and doors installations, to name a few. Over the next few months the PfA team aims to deliver more milestones of the campaign, including appointing dedicated support staff, a performance management system, a category management system and a new general build framework agreement.
Chair of the Board of PfA, Gordon Perry, adds “These are exciting times at PfA. Buying smartly and collaboratively has never been so important. Turning the Corner is an exciting journey for us. The next 6 months will see the development of more services that our members want. In addition, and supported by PfA’s own staff, members will get a greater customer experience, and a collaborative use of our frameworks, whilst still having a significant input into the operational outputs of PfA.”
Once the new services are available in April 2011, members will be able to carry out performance management and benchmarking on PfA contracts. Members can also share best practice and generate ideas for new procurement opportunities, with the newly introduced Working Group, held every other month. Members will also have a greater number of frameworks to choose from, making PfA a ‘one stop shop’ for procuring works contracts.
