Parkway Green’s Environmental Programme was officially opened by MP for Wythenshawe & Sale East Paul Goggins on Friday the 3rd of December 2010
The programme, on the Royal Oak Estate, is the first phase of the housing Trust’s £9million environmental improvement programme, which will add off-road and frontage parking facilities and front boundary treatments to many homes across West Wythenshawe over the next couple of years.
Chair of the Parkway Green Board Councillor Tony Burns said, “Parking has always been a major issue for our customers on our estates and by rolling out this programme we are doing what we can to help the situation. The pilot scheme on the Royal Oak Estate has been a massive success and we are delighted that Paul Goggins MP was able to come down and officially open it”
The next phase of the programme is scheduled to move to Baguley (Roundthorne and Oakmoor Roads) and then onto Northern Moor West in early 2011.
