ROBIN HOOD ON TARGET FOR TENANT CONFERENCE

Robin Hood left his oak tree for the day and led a merry band of Nottingham Community Housing Association (NCHA) tenants to their third NCHA Tenant Conference, which was held at Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest, Nottingham last week.

Peter Cowley, Asst Director of Housing Services kicked off the Fun Day which was organised by the Tenant and Resident Consortium, by showing tenants how their feedback from the 2009 conference had made a difference and improved services.

Robin asked tenants what they would do if they were Sheriff for a day -  which will help set standards for the services NCHA offer.  Luckily the suggestion to put board members and staff in the stocks wasn't taken up!

Robin also presented prizes  to tenants who made the best Robin Hood hat and selected the best named gang of outlaw tenants. Prizes were also awarded to staff and contractors who tenants felt gave a great service.

After a hearty lunch with neighbours and friends, tenants were able to take part in a range of activities of their choice - including archery. Needless to say, Robin was on hand to offer some expert advice!

Terri Oldershaw, NCHA tenant from Sleaford attended the annual tenant fun day for the third year running and said "This is a brilliant day. It's great that NCHA give us the opportunity to discuss issues that directly affect our lives  - I believe that if we all say the same thing at the same time, change can happen. We can make a difference."
