Invicta Telecare became the first organisation in the UK to achieve the European Standard in Social Alarm Monitoring services, and only the second to achieve it in the module for Response, through the Telecare Services Association (TSA).

Wendy Turner, Head of Invicta Telecare, said: “We are thrilled to receive such a prestigious endorsement reflecting the hard work and professionalism of all our staff, it is a wonderful outcome.  As the leading independent provider of Telecare in the UK we have a growing reputation of delivering outstanding services and already provide Telecare to customers living in Cyprus.  Achieving the European Standard will give us the opportunity to consider expanding our services into new areas in Europe.”

Invicta Telecare were also reaccredited with the TSA Telecare Code of Practice in modules: installation, monitoring, response and service tailoring for the ninth year running.  The Code encourages the provision of good quality customer service by officially recognising those service providers who meet its demanding criteria.   To become code compliant, organisations need to have detailed procedures covering all aspects of their operations, and demonstrate that service delivery is in accordance with these procedures.  Independent audits carried out by Insight on behalf of TSA lead to appropriate service providers being awarded ‘code compliance’, a process which is repeated on an annual basis.

Wendy Turner continued: “After examining procedures in our monitoring centre and accompanying staff on visits the auditor commented on the high standard of services we provide.  Although on average in the past year over 99.5% of our customers who took part in our weekly survey told us they were satisfied with the social alarm and monitoring services we provide it gives an additional reassurance to have the quality accredited by an independent assessment.”

At the end of the inspections Invicta Telecare were accredited with no Action Notes (notes to the auditor to check something further), no Improvement Notices (matters that require attention within 21 days) and no Non Conformities (immediate fails).

Part of Circle Anglia – one of the UK’s leading providers of affordable housing - Invicta Telecare provides a comprehensive range of Telecare services to over 94,000 homes enabling vulnerable people, both young and old, to live safely, happily and independently in their own home.
