London, 20th August, 2010 - East Lothian Council has chosen Coactiva Aspiren’s Aspireview solution to support its new performance management framework within the council’s community housing and property management division.  The system will provide intuitive reporting and visual aids to help empower managers to be more proactive in their approach to performance. The solution will help enable Council staff and consequently members to identify improvement opportunities early, make evidence-based decisions, and continually measure, monitor and manage performance against outcomes.

The Aspireview service will also support East Lothian Council’s customer focused approach to social housing performance and support the council’s local housing strategy.  The East Lothian tenants and residents panel have been consulted and are collaboratively agreeing to performance measures which will be made publicly available on the Council’s Web site based on content generated by the Aspireview system.  This will allow tenants and the Council to track progress against agreed objectives, helping to drive improvements in areas aligned to Council housing tenants’ needs.

Sarah Mackie, performance officer in the community housing and property management division at East Lothian Council, said, “Aspireview allows us to create a link to our Web site so that customers will have access to real-time indicators in chart or graph form.  Once the performance information is updated in Aspireview the Web site is also automatically refreshed with the new data, thereby reducing time and effort replicating information.”

Ray Fielding, CEO of Coactiva Group, commented: “We are pleased that the community housing and property management division of East Lothian Council is using Aspireview to support its customer-focused, outcomes-based approach to public service improvement.”

Following the acquisition of Aspiren (Company number: 4152031) by SunGard in 2007, the Aspiren business traded as a separate legal entity within the SunGard group until December 2009, at which point it was merged into SunGard Public Sector and traded as a separate business unit under SunGard Public Sector until November 2010.  In November 2010 the Aspiren business was acquired by coactiva and the business resumed trading as a separate entity under coactiva ownership.
