Connaught Partnerships has secured a five year contract worth over a half a million pounds to inspect and service gas boilers for Clwyd Alyn Housing Association tenants across North and Mid Wales.
Clwyd Alyn, which is part of the Pennaf Housing Group based in St Asaph, is a Registered Social Landlord managing homes across the six local authority areas of Anglesey, Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire, Wrexham and Powys and the new gas servicing contract was procured in line with European guidelines.
“We are particularly pleased to announce that the contract has been awarded to Connaught Partnerships as they have a high reputation for their customer service which is at the heart of all of our activities,” said Mr Graham Worthington, Chief Executive for the Pennaf Group.
The contract is for £117,149 per year for the next five years, and as part of the new contract one of Clwyd Alyn’s own former apprentice heating and plumbing engineers Gareth Coppack, from Rhyl, has transferred over to the Connaught service team.
Gareth originally spent a day a week work as a non-paid, work experience trainee with Clwyd Alyn before completing his studies and securing a full time job with the firm who previously looked after the Housing Association’s gas servicing. Now, under the European Transfer of Employment (TUPE) scheme, Gareth has moved over to work for Connaught.
“It’s great that I’m able to transfer over and keep looking after Clwyd Alyn customers,” said Gareth who will be one of three Connaught service engineers covering the contract.
As part of their commitment to customer service, some of the Connaught office staff have also visited the Pennaf Offices in St Asaph to spend time in the Customer Contact Centre, so they can follow the service process through from the first point of contact with customers.
“We’re delighted to have secured the gas service contract with Clwyd Alyn. With over 25 years experience, Clwyd Alyn customers can expect the very best in customer service from Connaught and we look forward to meeting tenants across North and Mid Wales,” said Brendon Hutchinson, Northern Region Operational Director for Connaught Partnerships.
