Total Glass, one of the UK’s largest PVC-U and aluminium window and door fabricators, has appointed Stuart Holt as Commercial Aluminium Manager as part of the company’s strategic plans for growth in the aluminium sector.

Stuart brings a wealth of 25 years’ experience, having previously held various product development and sales positions with leading aluminium systems companies and manufacturers in the industry.

Although his primary responsibility is new product research and development, Stuart’s expertise also strengthens the existing aluminium sales function and enhances liaison with specifiers on major projects.

A time-served craftsman glazier, Stuart says: “Total Glass is a high-profile and progressive company offering a comprehensive range of quality PVC-U and aluminium fenestration products. This exciting role allows me to draw on my past experience and skills to further grow their established presence in the aluminium market.”

He adds: “Work is already underway on extending specification options for the Total Glass Aluminium Security Door. As a communal entrance door for multiple occupancy buildings, it has been very well-received by the social housing sector – it was shortlisted as Product of the Year in the Housing Excellence Awards 2010 - and we are currently developing new designs to meet customer demand.”
