Conference to reveal the secrets of 3-star success

Four housing associations are combining forces to host a one-day conference giving a unique insight into how to be the kind of provider Inspectors rate as ‘three star’.

The event - “Excellence in Action” at St Catherine’s College, Oxford, on Friday 9 July - brings together Cheltenham Borough Homes, West Kent HA, Rooftop Housing Group and Soha Housing to present on those aspects of their organisations which received the highest Audit Commission accolade.

Cheltenham Borough Homes will demonstrate how Equality and Diversity became a key business driver; Rooftop Housing Group will run a workshop on their integrated performance and project management IT system; Soha will present on how all staff came to embrace Resident Involvement and the challenges that brought; and West Kent will share learning from their long-term maintenance partnering model that ‘significantly reduces costs, responsive repairs and administration while improving RI, scrutiny and satisfaction’. 

The day, featuring keynote speakers David Orr, Chief Executive of the National Housing Federation and Roy Irwin, Director of Housing of Sustainability and Economic Development at the Audit Commission, offers the chance to attend two of the HA-led workshops plus a plenary Q&A with the Chief Executives of all four Associations.
