Tenants of Wolverhampton Homes will find it easier to move home thanks to a new scheme. Arms-Length Management Organisation (ALMO) Wolverhampton Homes has joined the national mutual exchange forum HomeSwapper.

Tenants are now able to register on the online system and have ‘matches’ of homes emailed or texted to them.

The scheme means that tenants will be able to move to other areas of the country more easily. The previous system used by Wolverhampton Homes was limited to exchanges within the city.

Wolverhampton Homes have paid to join the service so that tenants can register free of charge.

Sue Roberts, Chair of Wolverhampton Homes, said: “We want to give our customers as much choice and flexibility as possible.

“This scheme makes it much easier for tenants to move house and give them greater freedom.”

HomeSwapper currently has 156,000 people registered and 15,000 people move home using the system every year.

Tenants can register at www.homeswapper.co.uk or by completing an application form available on request from Homes Direct by calling 01902 556789 or calling into one of Wolverhampton Homes’ One Stop Shops.
