The Stroma Award for Refubishment

Stroma is delighted to have sponsored the ‘The Stroma Award for Refurbishment’ at the 2010 Sustain Magazine Awards, which took place on Tuesday 2nd March 2010 at The Great Hall at Chelsea Football Club. The Sustain’ Magazine Awards recognise projects and organisations at the forefront of housing sustainability best practice.
The winners of ‘The Stroma Award for Refurbishment’ were Hanson Structherm, Structherm were pleased to pick up another award for the refurbishment of the Daneville Estate in Liverpool.
Yvonne Coldwell, Marketing Director for Structherm (pictured left with Stuart Oakes [Stroma]) , said:
“We are absolutely delighted that Structherm have won this award. The external refurbishment work carried out by Hanson Structherm has completely changed the look and feel of the entire estate, with once void properties now enjoying a 100% take up with a waiting list for houses on the estate.“
With over 450 guests, the glittering event was well represented by a number of diverse professions, including architects, housing developers, engineers, consultants, housing associations and manufacturers all of them industry leaders eager to blaze the trail for sustainability. Entertainment was provided by comedian Ben Norris and a fabulous time was had by all with many guests staying until the early hours of the morning.
