ALMO duo selects Covalent performance management
South Tyneside Homes and St George's Community Housing have become Covalent’s latest ALMO customers, reinforcing its status as the leading supplier of corporate performance management software to Social Housing Arms Length Management Organisations.
Jarrow based South Tyneside Homes will be using Covalent to track its Performance Indicators, manage its Action/Improvement Plans, conduct Self Assessments and Inspection Management and manage corporate risks.
In April 2006 responsibility for managing council homes in South Tyneside moved from South Tyneside Council to South Tyneside Homes, along with 700 staff from the then Council’s Housing and Construction Related Services.
South Tyneside Homes manages approximately 19000 homes, and is working to improve council housing within the Borough.
St George's Community Housing was established in April 2007 by Basildon District Council to manage the District's 12,000 council-owned housing stock.
St Georges Community Housing Limited is entirely owned by Basildon Council and is managed by a board of directors whose membership comprises Council nominees as well as tenants, leaseholders and independent people from within the Basildon District.
It achieved 2 stars in an inspection by the Audit Commission in June 2009. The award allows St Georges access to a potential £142 million Decent Homes government funding, for a programme of improvements.
St Georges will be using Covalent to to monitor its Performance Indicators, manage its Action and Improvement Plans, perform Self Assessments and prepare for inspections and to manage corporate risks. It will also be deploying the Covalent Strategy Maps module.
