KHT ask for Community Spirit at Christmas

Knowsley Housing Trust is asking customers to improve community spirit by thinking of their neighbours this Christmas.
The housing association is calling on tenants to 'be a good neighbour' by popping in to see residents who live alone, are elderly or frail.
Although Christmas is traditionally a time for family and friends, someone living close by might not have anyone to think about them.
KHT Chief Executive Bob Taylor said: “Families are becoming geographically separated so vulnerable people may not have anyone to care for them. We are asking people to keep an eye on neighbours, whether they are elderly or vulnerable.
“At the same time we would urge customers to be cautious when letting people into their homes. There are bogus callers around who unfortunately prey on vulnerable people.
“It would be nice if people were friendly all year round
but particularly at Christmas. It’s a celebratory time for
most people but it can be difficult and lonely for
others.”
