Sarsen Housing Association is promoting responsible dog ownership amongst residents with Sarsen Scrufts, its very first dog show.

Sarsen Scrufts is open to all dog owners, whether they have a scruffy pooch or a pampered pedigree.

The show will take place at Waylands on Thursday, 22 October, from 12 noon to 4.00pm and will kick off with registration, followed by the judging categories. These include the waggiest tail, the prettiest pooch, the best old dog and the most obedient dog. There will also be a prize for the overall winner of the day.

Owners can have their dogs micro-chipped for £15 instead of the usual £20  by local dog warden Ben Sargent.

Sarsen’s housing advisor Joan Loughran said: “Sarsen Scrufts is an enjoyable way to get across a serious message about responsible dog ownership. It’s part of our action plan to promote cleaner and safer neighbourhoods.”

To enter a dog into the show call Joan Loughran on (01380) 735540 or email joan.loughran@sarsen.co.uk
