Learner qualifies thanks to Women and Work
The Women and Work project is already having a positive impact on
lives of women in the Justice sector. Lucie Venables, from Mid
Sussex District Council, has become the Women and Work team's first
completed learner this year. Lucie received Bursary funding for an
Advanced BTEC in Neighbourhood Nuisance and Anti-Social
Behaviour.
The course was vital for her role as an Anti-Social Behaviour
Coordinator, but just too expensive for her employer to afford. As
Lucie says, she now has the skills to progress in her role, 'and
ultimately reduce anti-social behaviour in the community. This is a
brilliant scheme to encourage women to take qualifications to
further their careers'.
The Bursary is just one part of the exciting opportunities Women and Work can offer. We have secured half a million pounds of Government funding to provide these training opportunities, so take full advantage by visiting our Women and Work webpage, emailing the team at womenandwork@skillsforjustice.com, or calling them on 0114 231 7392.
We have helped Lucie fulfil her learning needs, and want to help
you reach your full potential too.
