Invicta Telecare has moved its First on Sight office in Andover to a unit at Walworth Industrial Estate and created new jobs for local people.
The new larger office means it can accommodate four people on shift at any time allowing greater working flexibility and increasing the capacity to handle more calls. A new Duty Manager has been employed to help manage the office and five additional operators recruited locally.
Part of Circle Anglia, Invicta Telecare is the largest independent provider of Telecare services in the UK, delivering round the clock peace of mind and reassurance to over 96,000 vulnerable people who want to remain living independently in their own home.
Wendy Turner, Invicta Telecare’s Operation Director said: “The new office not only improves the life chances of local people by offering exciting career prospects it also provides an excellent opportunity to really expand our successful First on Sight response service in the Hampshire area.
“We have run this vital service in Andover in partnership
with Testway Housing for nearly two years. First on Sight has a
team of responders available 24 hours a day seven days a week who
can, if necessary, drive to a client’s house. They will
quickly assess the situation and arrange the most appropriate help.
In the first year 825 people received our First on Sight service
and we attended to over 100 calls.”
