Invicta Telecare, the UK’s largest independent provider of telecare, is set to grow its floating housing support team in Kent by 30 per cent, following the win of four new contracts worth nearly a million pounds over two years from Kent County Council.
These contracts will enable Invicta Telecare, which is part of Circle Anglia, one of the UK’s leading providers of affordable housing, to expand its services to an additional 209 people, starting from April 2009.
Invicta Telecare provides housing support funded through KCC Supporting People Programme to a range of vulnerable clients including those facing homelessness, drug and alcohol dependency, learning disabilities and domestic violence. Officers help individuals, some with little hope for the future, identify and realise their goals. In awarding the contracts KCC were conscious of the need to assess applications on value for money and quality of service.
Steve Davies, managing director of Invicta Telecare, said: “This is excellent news. All our floating support services have achieved the highest grade in the QAF (Quality Assessment Framework)
and we are thrilled that we are now able to extend these services to more people making a positive difference to people’s life chances by encouraging independence, well-being and
choice.”
