New affordable homes for Rugby

Published by Jane Gething-Lewis for Orbit First Step in Housing
If you are dreading the prospect of spending yet another Christmas living in rented accommodation or continuing to share a home with your parents because you can’t afford to buy a home of your own, then Orbit First Step has some great news for you.
Come along to their open event at Caldecott Manor on Boughton Road in Rugby, between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 7 February, and you can find out how you can buy a brand new home on a part-buy part-rent scheme. With prices that are incredibly competitive, the properties already offer great value for money, but incentives are still available to make them even more affordable and you can find out more about them at the event. An independent financial advisor will be on hand to provide no-obligation advice to visitors who will also have the opportunity to enter a free prize draw to win a £50 shopping voucher.
Part of the Orbit Group, Orbit First Step is showcasing seven attractive and affordable homes – four 2-bedroom houses and three 3-bedroom houses – at the event. Built by Persimmon Homes, the houses feature rear gardens with shed, bathroom with shower over bath and a fitted kitchen with oven, hob and canopy. They also include full gas central heating with solar panels to assist for hot water, a downstairs cloakroom and allocated parking.
Conveniently located just a mile from Rugby train station, two miles from the M6 and around four miles from the M1, the development offers fantastic transport links for those who need to commute to work.
All of the houses are for sale through Orbit First Step’s New Build HomeBuy scheme under which purchasers can buy a share in a property. Most buyers will need to raise a mortgage to purchase their share, and then pay a subsidised rent on the remaining share. Prices start at £30,000 for a minimum 25 per cent share and buyers can also purchase additional shares in the future, if they wish, until they own the property outright. A variety of incentives are available.
Terms and conditions apply.
Orbit First Step’s Sales and Marketing Manager, Karen Coleman said: “Despite house prices having fallen and mortgage rates reducing, affordable houses are still hard to come by for many people. We only have seven houses available on this development and we know they’ll be in great demand so we would encourage anyone who is interested to come along to our event and find out more. We pride ourselves on the flexibility of the incentives we are able to offer to enable people to purchase and our friendly team of staff will be available throughout the event to provide any further information as required. Hopefully we can open the door to a brand new future for you in your very own home.”
If you are unable to attend the event but would like further information on any of the properties available at Caldecott Manor, please call 08458 50 20 50 or visit www.orbitfirststep.org.uk.
