Axiom elves meet Santa Claus!!!

Axiom's very own elves met Santa Clause for an evening of fundraising; all proceeds going to benefit local homeless people across the city of Peterborough.
Jo Lord, one of Axiom Housing Association's Learning Centre Tutors, who is based at Axiom's Homeless Hostel the New Haven in Towler Street, Peterborough came up with the idea of a 'travelling Christmas Sleigh ride' in order to raise money for Axiom Homeless Action.
Last night members of Axiom staff joined in partnership to spread joy and happiness to children around the Hampton area supported by the local church group and Hampton Neighbour Association.
It was the first time that Santa had visited Hampton so it was especially magical for those children who were delighted to see Axiom's elves all dressed up to help Santa hand out sweets and chocolates to children, their families and friends.
Cham Simei, Axiom Homeless Action Trustee and Area Manager Supported Housing, said:
"We raised a fantastic amount of money last night for our homeless charity, Axiom Homeless Action, with over £180 going into the pot."
"The money will go a long way to supporting homeless people over the Christmas period. So many of us take Christmas and New Year for granted; at Axiom, we always look to support vulnerable people in the city of Peterborough and this year is no exception".
Pat Gracey, Operations Manager from Axiom Homeless Action and organiser of the event, added:
"I would personally like to thank all those staff from Axiom who supported us on the evening. It was a great turnout."
"We would especially like to thank Bookers Cash & Carry, Tesco's and Sainsburys for their kind support on the night. Without the donations of sweets and selections boxes for the lucky dip, the evening would not have been possible".
"Peterborough Lions supported us once again with our fund raising campaign - they provided the sleigh, vehicles and helpers who stood out in the cold but were warmed by the welcome from Hampton residents!"
"The support we have received for this very worthwhile charity is gratefully received. Thank you all".
If you would like to learn more about Axiom Homeless Action please contact Pat Gracey on 01733 347135; volunteers are always very welcome to help and support staff at any time of the year.
