To help residents recycle more, Newham Council has doubled the number of orange bags that residents will be receiving in the coming months.
Instead of 13 bags, households will now receive 26 orange bags every three months to help everyone recycle your paper, plastic bottles and food and drink cans.

Executive member for public realm, Councillor Ian Corbett, said: "Recycling is one of the small steps that we can all take to help protect and improve our environment.

"By recycling our waste, we are saving energy and natural resources, such as trees and fossil fuels. Recycling turns materials that would otherwise become waste into valuable resources or other reusable materials."

If the extra bags are still not enough, then either ask the collection crews for more or pick them up from libraries or Local Service Centres.
