A GROUP which helps the rehabilitation of people passing through a Boston mental health unit has been handed £500 by the Boston Mayflower Housing Association.
Among other things GROW, which is based at Boston's Pilgrim Hospital, allows people the chance to tend an allotment and grow organic produce - helping them improve their lifestyle.
Boston Mayflower gave GROW cash under the housing association's Community Champions award scheme.
The scheme rewards groups and organisations which perform outstanding work in the local community.
GROW Treasurer Neil Hancox said: "Mayflower's money will be spent on getting us a larger garden shed, so we can store equipment in it and still hold meetings and do things if it is wet
outside.
"We will also be purchasing a Rotovator with the money, to help us out on site.
"This award means a great deal to us - we now have added security for the group."
