First environmental sustainability manager starts at Raven

As an innovator and pioneer on environmental sustainable issues in the housing sector, Raven Housing Trust has just appointed Claire Lipop as its first Environmental Sustainability Manager to drive forward future work in this important area.
Claire will build on Ravens recent successes and environmental initiatives, which include building the UKs greenest social housing in Mid Street, South Nutfield and the UKs biggest large scale retro-fitting of water saving measurement on the Preston estate in Tadworth. Claire will ensure that Ravens homes and services are environmentally sustainable in the long-term.
Claire joined Raven from the London Borough of Lambeth Council where she promoted sustainable construction in housing and regeneration. Before Lambeth Claire worked with a range of local authorities an environmental issues ranging from recycling and waste/energy minimization to environmental community initiatives.
Claire said I am looking forward to working with residents, staff, colleagues and key stakeholders to address environmental sustainability innovatively and, in line with best practice, to reduce Raven's and its residents carbon footprint.
