A NEW laptop computer is to be bought to aid the Butterfly Hospice Trust's work in the Boston area - following a donation from social landlord Boston Mayflower.
The £500 cheque for the laptop was given to the charity as part of Mayflower's Community Champions awards scheme.
The scheme rewards groups and organisations in the Boston area which perform outstanding work in the community.
Butterfly Hospice Trust Fundraising Manager Jane Parsons said: "This donation will enable us to buy a new laptop computer which will be used to help us communicate with Trust helpers throughout the
villages around Boston.
"We are very grateful for this donation - it will help the Trust towards its ultimate goal, that of an inpatient hospice to serve the local area.
"We aim to be able to help hundreds of people each year when our hospice is built."
The Trust is on the hunt for volunteers to speak to groups about the work it is doing - and is also looking for volunteers to work in its office and shop.
